As the national voice of State and Interstate water programs, the Association of Clean Water Administrators (ACWA) strives to protect and restore watersheds to achieve “clean water everywhere for everyone.”
In order to make the website a sustainable & maintainable communication channel that supports member needs, we worked with the ACWA team in content strategy sessions to make sure that the website demonstrates relevancy.
Some examples of ideas that came out of those include:
- Moving their Weekly Wrap newsletter from a PDF and Word document in to a blog post so that it can be read across multiple devices;
- making sure that events are prominent on the homepage so that members are aware of what ACWA resources are available to them;
- and providing the ability to the ACWA team members to highlight key documents, even if they are from a few months ago.
Pairing this functionality with the beautiful imagery of water sources around the country gave ACWA and its members a clean, inviting, and – most importantly – useful resource.
