Overview
The Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG) is an active community of gender specialists working to promote gender equity in order to improve global health and foster sustainable development. We worked with staff members of the Population Research Bureau to replatform and redesign their 10-year-old website into a tool that can be valuable for their members.

Reorganization
igwg.org was full of valuable resources for gender specialists across the network, but the resources were hard to find among pages of lengthy lists that had accumulated over the years.
Working alongside of a core IGWG team, we revamped how resources, events, and news sections were categorized and organized so that they could be promoted throughout the site’s new structure.

Texture and Warmth
The visual design uses IGWG’s existing palette and pairs it with textures and imagery, where appropriate. The texture reminds our audiences of the vibrant communities where IGWG works, and also creates an approachable tone to the content and conversations.
The pattern came from Subtle Patterns, and we edited it further.

“The IGWG website had not been updated in 10 years and in the meantime had grown by leaps and bounds in totally mystifying ways. I was looking at the web redesign as one approaches a root canal—with fear and dread. But Rocketkoi made it totally painless, collaborative, and even fun. The result is a beautifully organized, visually pleasing website that is logical, easily searched, and maintainable by our in-house staff. Most important, our IGWG membership and our funders love it. Thank you, Sarah and Mal.”
