Run by Cordon Bleu trained chef Renée Faubert, Renée’s Kitchen is a carry-out business offering delicious dinner options for its Natick, MA community. The dishes range across cuisines and flavors and are alongside baked goods and sandwiches during the day. The fresh new restaurant needed some fresh new branding.
A strong, collaborative process let us take Renée’s color preferences and request for a bit of “swoop,” and create a warm, welcoming, typographic-centric solution. With the multitude of flavors and cuisines being served up, we couldn’t let the logo narrow the business to just one type of food.
Focusing on styled text, rather then an icon or mark, was the solution. Not only does it hearken back to cafes and diners, where everyone knows your name, it puts this new businesses’ name at the center of the table.
